Yup you heard it right.. Rubber Ducky race! As in 10,000 rubber ducky racing to the finish line.. I was watching the news and heard about this event, summer just started and to welcome it we decided to join in the fun and watch this one of a kind race.
"The Silicon Valley Rubber Duck race is the very first fundraising event wherein ten thousand bright yellow, red-lipped, sunglass wearing “adopted” rubber ducks will pour from a dump truck into a creek and race to Vasona Lake.Each adopted duck will be numbered and entered into the Duck Race. The top 20 placing ducks will win $15,000 worth of prizes for their holders and a chance to win $1,000,000.."
Cost of adopting a duck was $5.00 per single duck.. The sad part though, you dont get to bring it home..
